Update on the Coronavirus Pandemic:

April 4, 2020

As many of you know, our office has been open for emergencies only since March 18, 2020. We had hoped that we would be able to be back to seeing patients under normal circumstances by April 14, 2020. However, this week, Governor Whitmer signed an executive order that allows us to continue to see only emergency and essential services into the foreseeable future. The American Dental Association has recommended that offices remain open for essential services only through April 30, 2020.

We want you to know that we are available to meet your needs for emergencies and essential services during this unprecedented time. Right now, our plan is to be back in the office seeing our patients, their friends and families at the beginning of May. If this dates changes, we will certainly let everyone know.

Know that if you, your families, or your friends have a dental emergency, we are here to serve you. Please call the office at 269-968-8151, and we will return your call as soon as possible. We are getting your messages daily and will respond as quickly as we can. Be assured that we take your health and protection as well as ours seriously. The stringent protocols that we have always used are in place and follow the CDC’s guidelines.

Thank you for trusting us with your oral fitness. It is wonderful to know that so many of you are able to weather this storm because you have taken your mouth health seriously and have eliminated infection and inflammation in your mouths and your bodies. We look forward to seeing you as soon as we are able. Stay safe and healthy.

Robin P. Steely, DDS, PC

The Open Airway & Breath Institute is a dedicated holistic dentistry practice that specializes in airway health dentistry. Breathing is life, and an insufficient airway can cause us not to get enough air to meet our body’s needs. Our approach to airway health dentistry focuses on finding the root cause of your breathing problems and correcting them using a variety of methods.

Myofunctional therapy is an integrated part of what we do as we retrain the tongue muscles to function properly. We are bringing our expertise to both adults and children. If your child is suffering with ADD/ADHD, snoring, bed wetting, restless sleep, grinding teeth, or interrupted breathing, we are here to help with the proper diagnosis. Making the proper diagnosis is the key to creating the appropriate treatment to help you and your child achieve Oral Fitness for Life.

Dr. Robin Steely, DDS also specializes in obstructive sleep apnea and is here to provide the extensive treatment plans you need. In addition to custom dental appliances, we offer whole person treatment ranging from nutritional support to achievable fitness plans for providing holistic healing for your overall wellness.

Combining this with creating normal mouth function will help to stabilize and maximize any dentistry for a person’s lifetime.
